In conclusion, the Dream SMP is great but definitely needs to work on the execution. The execution can be decent at times but it is reduced to just being okay as a lot of scenes do drag on for longer than they should and some of the time can be wasted with pointless conversations. This is the weakest part in the Dream SMP. You can sometimes see the characters' reasonings from both sides and there can sometimes be no exactly clear villain. A few other reasons include being able to relate with, and understand the characters and their motive(s). The Dream SMP is so immersive for just one reason: you get to see the characters actually fully travel around the expansive world as they travel from location to location. Karl and his stories are very intriguing, and Dream is a clever, serviceable villain. Jschlatt is very funny and has lots of dark humour. Ranboo is so complex and intriguing that it is just amazing. Characters such as Ranboo, Jschlatt, Karl, and maybe Dream are all examples of great characters. Most of the characters in the Dream SMP are just 7/10s with Technoblade maybe being a 6/10. Alongside that, the content packed into most of the storylines is just original overall. The same goes for the Ranboo and partly the Karl storylines. I cannot really say I have seen two parties fighting over discs, a drug factory turned into a nation, or an egg take over a server before. The Dream SMP is definitely very original. Say what you want about the Eggpire Arc and it being filler, but it is honestly not that bad. Some of the storylines with characters such as Ranboo, the most complex character on the Dream SMP, and Karl are also great.
It looks like Wilbur and Tommy will win but at the last minute, Jschlatt and Quackity both combine their votes and win by 1%. Also take the Manberg story as another example. But at the last minute, Tommy decides to give his discs to Dream so L'manberg can have its independence. Tommy loses the duel with Dream and you are left on the edge of your seat. Take the L'manberg storyline for example. They are very engaging and always keep you on the edge of your seat. The storylines in the Dream SMP are definitely one of the show's highlights. OK for this review I am going to break it down into 5 sections: storyline(s), originality, characters, immersion, execution.
